Cone Communications Public Relations & Marketing partnered with ALT TERRAIN to help plan, produce and execute the annual Qdoba “Free The Guac” Qdoba marketing activation promotion in the cities of Seattle and Boston.
The street marketing activation consisted of creatively informing the public of ‘free guacamole with all entrées’ promotion via costumed characters, brand ambassadors, complimentary pedicab rides, giveaways and social media integration.
The avocado costumed charter drew attention to the street team activation from afar and organically drove consumer engagement and visits to the fast casual restaurant.
The social media integration specifically consisted of mobile photo booth app FotoZap that branded consumers engagements with Qdoba advertising which were forward to social changes and direct to consumers.
Consumers that opted to take a picture with the FotoZap mobile photo booth app received complimentary “Free The Guac” stickers and t-shirts.
The street team offered the public free rides on Qdoba “Free The Guac” pedicabs to their next destination.
The Seattle street marketing activation covered the areas of Pike Place, Westlake Center, SoDo, Seattle Waterfront/Great Wheel
The Boston street marketing activation covered the areas Back Bay, Downtown and Fenway.
