The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) Next Wave Festival pushed art boundaries once again, this time by transforming the city’s streets into an operatic spectacle. Partnering with ALT TERRAIN, they projected the stunning animated film “He Did What?” onto the side of BAM’s building. This created a free, ten-minute outdoor experience that captivated audiences for seven consecutive nights.
But this wasn’t just a beautiful projection; it was an interactive one. Equipped with special headsets, viewers were transported into the heart of the opera, experiencing the music and visuals in a deeply personal way. This innovative approach attracted not only festival attendees but also curious passersby and online buzz generated by BAM’s social media magic.
Why we loved this building projection project?
Offering free art to the public delighted audiences and provided great social media content for BAM, enhancing their reach and engagement.
This wasn't just a stunning display; it was a beacon, drawing attention to the Next Wave Festival and its daring artistic spirit.
By bringing opera to the streets, BAM proved that artistic experiences can blossom anywhere, enriching the lives of all who experience them.
