Wild postings touch every Boston neighborhood for Urban Nutcracker
Boch Center entrusted ALT TERRAIN to get the word out about their annual event via street poster advertising.
Event posters placed in dozens of Boston and Cambridge neighborhoods - from Harvard Square to South End to Mattapan.
Posters were placed in shop windows, cafe bulletin boards, and througouth the streetscape.
The poster distribution approach started in November, three weeks before the first show.
A 13" x 19" poster size was selected to allow for indoor and outdoor placements.
Most indoor placements consist of single posters, while outdoor, in the streetscape, create opportunities to place several together.
Why is wild posting so effective in Boston?
1.) Residents tend to walk from place to place allowing posters to connect with them multiple times during the week
2.) On average, each poster is viewed by 1,200+ people
3.) It only takes 250 posters per week to let the whole city know about your event
4.) Posters align with people's daily routines - from morning coffee to evening socializing
5.) Boston doesn't have a lot of traditional outdoor advertising opportunities for mid-size concert and performance venues - wild postings are a way to get mini-billboards throughout the city
If you want to promote your Boston event via poster distribution, ALT TERRAIN is ready to hit the streets!
